Downtown Lunchbreak: Oasis of Clay in a Parking Garage Courtyard, December 2011

On the same day that I wandered around and found all the great baseball stuff, I first encountered these stubby little clay statues at 228 Boulevard of the Allies. I knew these existed, but I'd never seen them for myself before.

I'm excited for warmer weather (even though it hasn't even gotten that cold yet for December in Pittsburgh) so that I can take my lunch to this little oasis in the middle of the city and enjoy these little statues. For a more in-depth commentary on this parklet, check out Rick Sebak (BPHS, yeah!) and what he had to say in Pittsburgh Magazine about it.
